Beijing Capital Medical University (CMU), formerly known as the Second Medical College of Beijing, was established in 1960. It is considered one of the top medical institutions in China and is a key university in the city of Beijing. Professor Wu Jiping, the founding president of the university, was a world-renowned urologist and a member of both the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Today, six members of the faculty are also members of these prestigious academies, further enhancing the university's domestic reputation.
